Yikes...it has been a really hot week. For those of you who don't know Seattle is rarely unbearably hot. But when it gets into the 90's we are not prepared. I enjoy the warm weather, but time spent in the car becomes less than fun. As I spend hours sitting in traffic and a puddle of sweat. Air conditioning is not a luxury many invest in as there are usually 2 or 3 days out of the year when you may need it...
So...this is NOT a complaint about the weather, because I had been anxiously anticipating summer to arrive. Well it did, in full force...and it was hot! I know my dad in El Paso, Texas where it's 100+ every day in the summer has no sympathy...I don't blame him. Nope. Not at all.

The funny thing about this blogging business is that your friends stop emailing you! (or at least cut back considerably).
I think they go ahead and read your entries and they feel like they've connected with you...and here you are, the lonely blogger, left high and dry! Blogging is a one-sided conversation. So I LOVE that you read my blog, but I would also LOVE for an email once in awhile...
...Thanks in advance!

The Mega Millions jackpot was
$95 Million today.
I bought my ticket.
I still didn't win.

I did my good deed for the week. I helped a man who was on his lunch break & his car wasn't starting. We tried to jump his car, and it didn't really work, so after 15 minutes of back & forth and wiggling the cables he admitted defeat. But he was panicked about being on his lunch break. So I let him use my cell phone to call his boss & for help. He didn't know how to use it. The first person I've met who has never used a cell phone! He didn't know how to hold it, and I had to dial for him!...
Miraculously (because you know how I feel about miracles!) the car started while he was on the phone. He was so thankful for my help, and tried to offer me $$ for helping him...of course I didn't take it! And the moral of the story is: it's good to help strangers on your lunch break!
Happy Father's Day Dad!

Happy Wednesday!
I went to the Mariners game last night with my friend Amy. It was beautiful, a perfect night for baseball & garlic fries!
I am awaiting the call from the "MAC GUY" to see if the hard drive is gone from my computer at work. Almost the entire "Real Estate Book" is on that computer and it chose to crap out yesterday afternoon. Pray to the computer gods that all is not lost, and I don't have to start over...AGH!? In which my Wednesday would NOT be happy.

Do I have "ask me for help" written on my forehead? I mean today was the 2nd time in a matter of days that I was asked to help a stranded motorist...and of course I help! Don't get me wrong, I am all about peace, love, and helping one another...but shouldn't everyone do their share, must all the burden be on me?

I am a little unsure, but I think today may have been the pinnacle of my graphic design career. Well, let's hope not. I spent my day designing a vasectomy brochure...that's right...detailed scrotum (add that to my list of least favorite words) diagrams and all. And to top it off when I was looking for appropriate images for the brochure (aside from the diagrams I created), I happened upon a walrus, a "naked" walrus, I guess...if you use your imagination you can figure it out. As I'd like to keep this as "PG" as possible. How lucky we are to have a urologist as a client.
Happy Birthday Alex!
(Sorry you have to share your birthday space with the vasectomy story!) |

VIVA LAS VEGAS! Well, I am back from a couple days in Las Vegas with my sister...we stayed at Paris (oh la la), saw a couple shows including Mystere (so cool) & The Thunder From Down Under (too funny)...we rode the roller coaster at NYNY (I was so thirsty from screaming after that), and went in Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum!(we got our picture taken with Brad Pitt) I discovered that five cents slots are the ones to play, and that searching out "Jackpot Party" is SOOOOO worth it! (sarah won $200)...all in all it was fun in the sun (all 100 degrees of it!)...pictures will be in the gallery soon!
Happy Belated Anniversary Holly & Ryan!
