I spent the evening at the Paramount Theatre with my friends enjoying the music of Jason Mraz, and Alanis Morrisette. I have to admit I wasn't exactly thrilled about this experience, but it was Sunny's "chosen activity" for her birthday. In the end, I did thoroughly enjoy myself, the experience, and the company.
Happy Birthday Sunny!

No...I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. The last week and a half have been filled with long days working in Tacoma, and trying to move into the new house, but not without our fair share of drama.
We picked up the U-Haul on Sunday morning. We had planned to move all the big furniture with the help of Sarah & Chad. On Saturday we found out Jay had softball playoffs, so he wasn't going to be able to help for very long. Jay & I got the stuff out of his apartment and into the U-Haul and met Sarah & Chad at my place. Chad & Jay took a few of the bigger ticket items into the U-Haul, then Jay had to leave. Chad & I started to lift the dresser and that was the end of Chad's back...he could barely move. So that left Sarah & I to move all the stuff. Fun times.
We did manage to finish getting what we needed into the truck, and headed towards West Seattle. We decided to stop to get sandwiches before we unloaded. So we got them to go, and jumped back in the truck. 4 hours later we were still in the parking lot with a U-Haul full of furniture and a boy with a broken back. The U-Haul wouldn't start. So we sat there in the blazing sun for 4 hours until someone finally showed up to help us. Needless to say by the time that was over, Jay was done with his softball game, Sarah & Chad had to leave to go to another engagement, and Mom was on her way up to help us finish unloading the truck.
I have never felt that disgusting in my life. I hadn't showered that morning because I planned to go back to my apartment and shower, get some clean clothes, and pull together the stuff I needed to stay the night at the new place.
Needless to say, we got the U-Haul unloaded, and we didn't pay a dime.

I have several things to toss your way...
CONGRATULATIONS SARAH on getting accepted into the UW Tacoma land planning program. We all knew you'd get in, and we are so proud of you!
Send your WARM WISHES Holly's directions. Holly is back in the hospital with bleeding again.
She isn't having contractions, thankfully and her baby's amniotic fluid has reduced, which is good. For now, Ryan says, they are just monitoring her closely and will re-evaluate after a couple days without bleeding. Their baby is 24.3 days now and is past that critical point of viability, but the hope, of course is to keep him in longer.
Cross your fingers for MAX. MAX is the name of the hard drive that stores ALL of the acadia creative files, there was a power outage and MAX is dead. Which is bad, very very bad.
Marisa, Elaine, and I saw Wedding Crashers on Wednesday night. That movie was downright hilarious. See it. You'll laugh...alot.
In the meantime, Jay & I are trying to plow through the piles of crap in our new place. I'm selling stuff on Craigslist, and planning a yard sale. I am looking forward to spending this weekend in Portland with Ami, I could use a little down time with a fantastic friend. I can't even wait....
Until August.
