I won a beautiful plant today at Ami's bridal shower. I feel bad that the plant had to come home with me of all people. To say the least I do not have a very "plant friendly" record. I'm going to try really really hard not to kill it. But for the record, if it does die, it is no longer a symbol of Ami & Matt's love in any way shape or form.

Happy Birthday Dad!

I hope it was a good one.

There's nothing like a late night trip to the grocery store. It's quiet. There's room to roam...and no lines. It's been a day. Unbelievable news abounds.

ps. I looked at my site from my work computer today. It would be fantastic if you people (if in fact there are people out there who read this) would tell me if something is broken or not working on my site. Geez!

Phew! What a weekend. I got a haircut. Worked a full day on Saturday in Tacoma. Had dinner with mom. Went out with the girls (that's a story in itself). Sang "Ice Ice Baby" karaoke with Sunny. Lounged at the park in awe of my surroundings while eating pesto hummus & reading "The Photograph". Finally watched Legally Blonde Red White & Blue & The Rundown (I've had them for a long time from Netflix, but had been feeding my Six Feet Under addiction one episode at a time. Sold my old computer for $500 cash money. Did two loads of laundry....and washed my dirty dirty car. Sunday is winding down & it's back to work tomorrow...

I had a re-lapse. After spending four days in San Diego for Emily & Matt's wedding, I have nothing to show for it. Well no photos at least. I did get a fantastic framed piece of Japanese fabric from the 1920's for my bedroom, a brand new toothbrush, some postcards I wrote from the comforts of my living room this evening, some minivan driving skills, new friends, a reunion with an old friend, and great memories.

Congratulations Emily & Matt!
Have a fantastic time in Peru...

The last few weeks I've reflected on some of my friendships, and am proud of the group of people I share my life with. I was happy to be able to be there to witness one of my very good friends get married last weekend, and glad that our friendship has endured over time & distance. I was there on the other end of the phone when my closest pal & confidant dealt with unexpected, but wonderful news. And was glad to know I would be there to see her through whatever comes her way. I have shared in the preparations of another marriage of my dearest companion and proud to know that I will be there beside her in her perfect moment. And I'm happy to celebrate another year of a gal pals life, and knowing that she is so funny, and beautiful both inside & out, and that all good things will come her way.

Happy Birthday Amy!

Oh Geez! I don't even know what to Blog about anymore, and it's not because of a lack of events in my life...more of an overwhelming abundance. It's good. Just busy.

So busy I have piles of laundry on the floor, I haven't spent a weekend at home in weeks, I seemed to have misplaced my razor along the way which has resulted in some unwanted hair. The Olympics are over. Suck. And there isn't even any food in my house for lack of time to go to the store.

I just got home from the Prince concert. "Holy Balls" (as Kara would say). That was, in a word, "fantastic"...

I spent the weekend in Vancouver/Portland for Ami & Matt's wedding. It was a fun time & a perfect day all around. I am so happy to have been a part of it, and I wish them all the happiness in the world. (There are pictures coming soon!)

It's my birthday week! Saturday I will turn the big 2-7. I can't even believe it's already here, but I'm excited to celebrate!

I'm coming into the home stretch of summer. As fun and eventful as it's been I'm so ready for gray skies & cozy weekends on the couch. The last wedding of the summer wrapped last weekend. I just have to power through my birthday weekend, Bumbershoot, and Labor Day weekend. A visit from Gram, Gramp, & Aunt Barb. The final concert of the summer, complete with a rodeo. And a trip to North Carolina before it's all said and done...I think I'll manage. After all it's fun!

Congratulations Ami & Matt!
Happy Birthday Michael!
Happy Birthday Brad!

Did I mention my birthday is on Saturday? I thought maybe I did, but in honor of me...since this is what this week is all about. (HA!) I thought I'd provide you with another dose of "Heather's Favorite Things".

Downy Wrinkle Releaser
This product was brought to my attention by Mary-Ann during her visit to Seattle. I don't iron...and now I really don't iron...ever.

Angela Adams
I saw a segment about her rugs on pre-prison Martha Stewart and fell in love with these more than expensive creations. I was lucky enough to purchase one of her handbags (on sale) recently...and I can't wait to use it!

Chick Chocolates
I do realize that chocolate appears on my list often, but this one is special. We just launched the website for this company at work, so you can see my design/programming skills at work. On top of it the chocolate is yummy! I'm torn between Nutty & Extreme Chick as my favorite flavor.

Six Feet Under
It's official. I'm an addict. I have watched the 1st two seasons and am now going through withdrawals because the additional seasons aren't out on DVD yet. AGH!? This may be the best show of all time (along with Sex & The City of course)

The Tingler
I don't own one of these, but did get one for Kara for Christmas last year. Happiness for your head.
