So...here goes. My attempt at "blogging". Which I recently learned means "web logging". I am so entertained by Mojan's website that I am going to try to be as cool as she is. If you think this is a great idea, she is the one to thank. (Thank You Mojan!) She makes me laugh out loud with her stories, observations, and digital camera experiments. Now all I need is a camera!

..."Justice is the one thing you should always find. "You got to saddle up your boys, "You got to draw a hard line. "When the gunsmoke settles, we'll sing a victory tune. "We'll all meet back at the local saloon, "We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces, "Singing: 'Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses.'"
...

I mean, c'mon...are these not the greated lyrics ever written or what? This is my new favorite song I think.

I went out to lunch today and at a stop light I looked over and saw an old orange Plymouth Champ with black racing stripes riddled with 15 bullet holes. All aimed at the drivers side door/windows. I thought it was a little odd, and then looked at the driver who was a frumpy older man with big glasses and disheveled hair who looked too big for his car
. I thought to myself, "that's wierd", I wonder why this man was getting shot at? The light changed green...I saw there were more bullet holes in the trunk...I wish I knew the story!

Kara & Vince asked me to be their "support" person for the delivery of their baby. Needless to say I was frightened, honored, and excited all at the same time.
I mean how often do you get to see your friend in such a pivotal life altering moment...combined with that much physical pain. Yikes! I'm hoping they will at least consider giving me an epidural too...

I heard this on the radio the other day, and I thought it was worth sharing...

You know the world has changed when the best golfer is black. The best rapper is white. The tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese. The Swiss hold the America's Cup. France is accusing the US of being arrogant, and the Germans don't want to go to war.

You know what sucks the most...car repairs. There is no way to avoid it. No matter how much you take care of your car, and keep up with the maintenance & oil changes, etc... Something will break or need replacing. You'd think as much as a car costs they could at least give you a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. So you'd never have to pay for anything!...in a perfect world.
One thing is for sure, what you want (ideally) and what you get, are surely 2 different things. I'm going to go ask the universe for some backup.

I don't know if any of you are willing to admit to watching "Married By America", but the show ended on Monday night. I am willing to admit I watched. I wasn't really into this show all that much, but watched alot of it just to see what it was all about, and what could possibly happen next. Well, I just want to say that the last 20 minutes of the finale on Monday night was the most devastating television I have ever witnessed. There is no other word to describe it beyond DEVASTATING. I don't think I've ever cried like that as a result of television...never ever. Sigh...

I saw a rainbow today. Isn't it funny that no matter how many times you see a rainbow it's always cool & equally exciting as the first time you saw one? It's like finding a 4 leaf clover, or winning a prize (no matter how trivial)...I feel like it's like alot of other things, but I am fresh out of examples. Feel free to share yours...

Happy Easter!

I'm doing my stint with The Real Estate Book where I work for 5 days a month. It makes me so tired and I can't figure out why. Is it because I have to work on a Saturday? Hmmm...

I had a wonderful visit with my friend Ami on Saturday night. We went to Pomodoro for dinner. A relatively undiscovered little restaurant tucked away in the Proctor district of Tacoma. I lived in this area for years and only just discovered it... Then went to The Ram and watched the Mariners flush their 6-1 lead down the toilet...

Agh!? I've only been bloggin' for a few short weeks and I'm already feeling the pressure. What to write? Am I falling behind? (behind who?) Am I funny? Does anyone read this stuff?...

Happy "Birth"day to the new baby in the McNerney family! She was born this morning in Mount Vernon to Lyn & Robert McNerney, and is yet to be named. She is 19 1/2 inches long and weighs 8 lbs 12 oz, and I was told she has chubby cheeks and is "adorable"...

I'm off to El Paso (Cracko), Texas...

It's funny the variety of people one encounters while traveling. From the fellow Jeep Wrangler driver who had a cat hanging out his window like it was a dog...(I don't think I hid the disgust on my face well at all)...to the guy in front of me in line at Quizno's who ordered a turkey, bacon, swiss sub without the bread. (?), yes it was all the sub fixins in a bowl for those who haven't witnessed that before......and the trip wrapped up nicely with an oversized shuttle bus driver who referred to all his female customers as "m'lady" as if he were invited to sit at the Round Table with King Arthur himself...all in all the trip was a success!

p.s. thanks dad for having me!
